Growing up in the high plains of Colorado, surrounded by fields of corn, cattle and local Pueblo chilies, the values and understanding of a rural community runs deep for Australian-based business manager Heidi McKechnie. Both parents were raised with dairy farming backgrounds on either side of America and throughout the summer months, Heidi and her family would road trip across Colorado to attend rodeos where her father rode bulls. After more than 15 years working in the hospitality industry in the US, Heidi moved to Melbourne where she rediscovered her rural roots and joined Compass – a decision she views as one of the best she has made. Heidi enjoys the variety of her role, supporting the team in administration and planning.
